Our Schools
The Dobbs Ferry School District consists of three schools: Dobbs Ferry High School, Dobbs Ferry Middle School and Springhurst Elementary School. It is located in the quiet hamlet of Dobbs Ferry, NY, just 20 miles north of New York City.

Dobbs Ferry School District
Summer, 2009 - Facilities Work
We would like to share the Dobbs Ferry Union Free School Districts facilities plans and anticipated work schedules during the summer break:
Masonry Repointing:
Scaffolding will be erected surrounding the high school. Masonry cleaning, review, repointing and repair work will be completed.
Site Work:
Work will be done both in front of the high school gymnasium and the middle school including paving demolition, regrading, paving, striping, etc.
Boiler Work:
Removal and replacement of an oil tank
Removal and installation of boiler room equipment
All work is to be completed on or before August 29, 2009.
Access to the building will only be available through the front door of the high school on the right as you face the building.
There will be no parking on the middle/high school campus. The parking for the summer employees and visitors will be on Broadway and neighboring streets.
We look forward to creating facilities that will better serve the community, and we appreciate your cooperation during this summer work.

. The high school has a new science research program which has already produced two Intel Science Talent Search semifinalists. We also have a fully operational TV station with cutting edge media facilities and original student programming.

. Our students excel both on and off the field. Approximately 75% of our high school and middle school students participate on interscholastic athletic teams. In addition, Academic Destination Imagination Teams (DI) at each school have been among the top-ranked in the state and nation.
Cultural Arts Focus
. Our students participate in twice yearly musicals and dramas, artist-in residency programs, dance ensembles, choral recitals, concert band/string orchestra concerts, art exhibitions, and cultural arts exchanges. Springhurst Elementary School boasts the nationally recognized, award-winning Harmonaires, an advanced chorus for grades 4-5. The Middle School/High School Steppin' Eagles Dance Team perform at special assemblies and around the county.

. Each school offers a wide variety of clubs for students to join.
Cutting-Edge Technology
. Smart Boards are available in every major content area throughout the District as well as in most special areas such as libraries, art and music classrooms, and science labs.
