    2019/2020 Scheduling Process

We are beginning the scheduling process for students entering grades 6 through 8. Through classroom presentations, counselors speak with students about courses for next year and how to use the eSchoolData Student Portal to make requests.

    Online Scheduling System:
Student courses for the 2019/2020 school year can be viewed by both students and parents on their eSchoolData Portal Accounts. Please note that eighth grade math and science recommendations will be added to the portal in April.

The portal will be available to enter course requests during the month of March starting with the classroom visits.

The following classes can be requested:

    • Music (all grades)
    • Foreign Language (grade 6)
    • Earth Science Regents* (grade 8)
    • Algebra 1 Regents* (grade 8).
    • Electives (grade 8)

*A waiver needs to be signed for Earth Science and Algebra 1 if the teacher recommendation is for Science 8 or Math 8. Please review the waiver process below.

    Scheduling Requests:
Although it is not necessary, parents are welcome to share information with the School Counselor that may be relevant to their child’s class placement. To have a fair and equitable schedule, scheduling requests, such as having certain classes in the morning or afternoon or to be with a specific friend or teacher, cannot be honored. Please be assured that the counselors consider many factors in designing a program that will meet your child’s educational,  social and emotional needs.

    School Counselor Assignment:

Please contact your child’s School Counselor should you have any questions about the scheduling process.
