Recognizing that the young adolescent years can be challenging, we have designed our instructional program to motivate students academically to ultimately become lifelong learners, while also supporting and nurturing their social and emotional needs.  Our experienced faculty and staff are committed to the academic, social, and emotional growth of all our students.

The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP) is the cornerstone of our curriculum. The MYP is a rigorous program that intellectually challenges students by making connections between subject areas and the world outside the classroom. It provides the relevancy that young adolescents require and fosters analytical thinking and problem solving. 

Dobbs Ferry Middle School also offers a robust extra-curricular program that includes all of the major sports teams and clubs that build on the students’ interests, including Improvisation, Ecology, Glee Club, Math Olympiad, Drama, Student Government and much more.

All of this work is enriched through the use of cutting-edge technology and our 1:1 Chromebook Program.  Each of our students is assigned a Chromebook.  These devices are used throughout the school day in all of their classes and at home.
