Grades K-2:  8:15am - 3:00pm
Grades 3-5:  8:45am - 3:30pm

REPORTING STUDENT ABSENCES
Parents/guardians are required to notify the school if their child is going to be absent or late by 8:30 a.m.  Please send an e-mail to springhurstattendance@dfsd.org and your child’s teacher.  If you are unable to send an e-mail, please call the school attendance office at (914) 693-1503 ext. 5.  Please include your child’s name, grade and teacher, as well as the date and reason for absence or lateness.

REQUESTING EARLY DISMISSAL
If a student needs to leave school, s/he must provide a written request from her/his parent or guardian stating the reason why permission is requested. Parents must sign their child out at the Springhurst Attendance Desk.

EXCUSABLE REASONS FOR ABSENCE
Sickness
Sickness or death in family
Religious holidays
Dental and medical appointments
Approved school-sponsored trips
