The Springhurst Children's Center is a private, not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of New York State and has tax exempt status.  It is a registered child care facility and meets all the fire, safety and health requirements of the Office of Children and Family Services.  The Center operates independently of the Dobbs Ferry School District and is funded by parent fees, fund-raising activities and private donations.  It is governed by a Board of Directors. The Center's overall operation is carefully monitored to ensure the safest and happiest environment for all children. 

The Center is designed for working parents of school-age children.  It is open to children in kindergarten throught 5th grade who attend Springhurst Elementary School.
