As a critical component of our focus on improving teaching and learning, the board of education and district administration continuously monitor the health of our buildings and grounds to ensure that we are providing a safe, secure, and welcoming physical environment in which teaching and learning take place. With the assistance of board-appointed professional services, including architects, engineers, project managers, and fiscal advisors, the district has developed long-range plans and associated facilities' improvement projects to address the priority areas established in those plans. As stewards of the community's facilities, we proactively approach facilities policies, personnel, resources, and maintenance to keep our costs predictable, thereby decreasing the chances of significant cost swings for the taxpayers and our annual budget.
