Dobbs Ferry School Board Appoints New Springhurst Elementary School Assistant Principal
Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. June 15, 2018—The Dobbs Ferry Board of Education (BOE) appointed Raymond Cavallo as the new Assistant Principal of Springhurst Elementary School at the Board’s June 12th meeting. Mr. Cavallo comes to the Dobbs Ferry School District from the Yorktown Central School District in Yorktown Heights, NY, where he has been an elementary school teacher for the last 24 years. He has taught in all three of Yorktown’s elementary schools, most recently in the Mohansic School. He succeeds retiring Springhurst Assistant Principal Lisa Giannico Doty who has been with the Dobbs Ferry School District for 14 years. Read Complete News Release...

NYSDOT Approves Dobbs Ferry Schools Safety Speed Zone on Broadway
Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. May 10, 2018—The Dobbs Ferry School District and the Village of Dobbs Ferry today announced the designation by the New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) of a School Speed Zone on Broadway in Dobbs Ferry in the vicinity of the Dobbs Ferry High School/Middle School campus. Dobbs Ferry Middle School Guidance Department Hosts Annual Career Days
Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. April 12, 2018—An important part of the career development program in Dobbs Ferry Middle School is getting students to start thinking about college and career readiness early on. The Middle School’s annual Career Days kicked off this year with the 6th grade on March 29th, followed by the 8th grade on April 13th and the 7th grade on May 4th. Dobbs Ferry High School’s Spring Musical “Urinetown” Spoofs Social and Political Issues with Wit and Humor
Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. March 19, 2018- Dobbs Ferry High School’s Musical Theater Department presents the hit show Urinetown on Friday, March 23rd at 7:00 pm and Saturday, March 24th at 7:00 pm in the High School auditorium. This satirical musical comedy, which premiered on Broadway in 2001, parodies our “legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and even musical theater.” No one is safe from scrutiny, and many of these themes will resonate with theatergoers in 2018. New Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations
Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. January 10, 2018 -- Ron Clamser Jr. officially joins the Dobbs Ferry School District on January 22, 2018 as the new Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations. He is replacing Sylvia Fassler-Wallach, who was with the District for the past eleven years. Mr. Clamser’s appointment was approved by the Dobbs Ferry Board of Education at its January 9th meeting.
