Holly has been working at Springhurst since 2000.  She has taught both second grade (12 years) and fourth grade (5 years). Her philosophy is that teaching should be meaningful, differentiated, motivating, and fun.  

Colleagues describe her teaching style as animated and fair, with high expectations.  Holly has a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Manhattanville College, and a BA Degree in English from SUNY Binghamton.  

Outside the classroom, Holly enjoys traveling, dogs and cats, and word games. She's a Scrabble enthusiast! Holly is married and has a daughter (Kara, 27 years old) and two sons (Dylan, 25 and Tyler, 21).  She loves being a teacher and working at Springhurst!
