Third, fourth and fifth grade students have the option of participating in the exciting Springhurst Orchestra program.  Orchestra students learn to play either violin, viola, cello or bass and perform in school assemblies and concerts.  Students attend weekly lessons during which they learn the fundamental skills necessary to play their chosen instrument and practice songs in preparation for concerts throughout the school year.  4th and 5th Grade students also attend weekly orchestra rehearsals at which all instruments play together, working on playing together as a group and learning important ensemble skills.  Orchestra students have a lot of fun making music together!
